ORMOCER®s are synthetic hybrid inorganic-organic polymer materials developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research in Würzburg, Germany. Their application for the consolidation of historic enamels has been widely tested. A lecture during the conference will give an overview of current research activities.
The Fraunhofer Institute offers a pre-conference workshop for enamel conservators to get familiar with their application.
