Glas Detoriation

Glass Deterioration Colloquium

Feb. 20–21, 2015
State Academy of Art and Design Stuttgart

The Conservation Colloquia are an annual series of short conferences in Stuttgart on varying themes. It was started in 2005 by the Objects' Conservation Programme of the State Academy of Art and Design.

The aim is to bring together up-to-date information on conservation research, be it from Stuttgart, the whole of Germany or abroad. It emphasizes discussion and exchange among conservators and conservation scientists.

At the moment interesting projects are being undertaken on the understanding of glass deterioration. That is why we have chosen this as our next theme. The conference will include a general overview on Friday morning, glass deterioration causing metal corrosion on Friday afternoon, and exciting new theories on Saturday morning.
